Zoo Med Reptisun Nano UVB Bulb 5 Watt is ideal for use with reptiles and amphibians that require UVB and UVA lighting, including many tropical and desert species. The Reptisun Nano UVB bulb is designed to work in the Nano Dome and Nano Combo Dome. Your lamp will provide beneficial UVB light for 6-12 months, and it should be replaced every year.

Placement of Nano UVB Bulb
Securely suspend the Nano Dome with the UVB bulb installed above your terrarium’s screen cover.
The operating range is the distance from the lamp to your reptiles basking spot. In order for your reptile to fully benefit from the UVB, you must also provide your reptile with the appropriate temperature zone. Be sure to provide an appropriate temperature and UVB gradient. This will allow your reptile to adjust the distance the heat and UVB lamps, in order to properly self regulate their temperature and UVB exposure.
Please note that UVB does not pass though glass! Fine screen mesh will also impede the amount of UVB that may pass though it.
Your Reptisun Nano UVB bulb is ideal for use over a terrarium that is approximately 10 gallon. Use this bulb over terrariums that are approximately 12-18″ tall with basking spots placed at the appropriate distance away from the bulbs.
We recommend that you use a marker to mark the base of the lamp with the date you first use the bulb, so you know when to replace it.
