Description
Zoo Med Repticare Infrared Deep Heat Projector
The Infrared Deep Heat Projector can be placed above a metal terrarium screen or inside the terrarium – please use a wire mesh to protect the animals from direct contact with the bulb. The Heat Projector is most effective when pointed toward the object you wish to warm up, such as a rock or other terrarium decor.
Why use an Infrared Deep Heat Projector
They are ideal for use with diurnal or nocturnal reptiles that thermo-regulate by basking, including many tropical and desert species. Such as Bearded Dragons, Uromastyx, Blue Tongue Skinks, Iguanas, Dune Geckos, Leopard Geckos, and many more
Infrared Heat Projector emits both Infrared A & Infrared B wavelengths which provide deep penetrating heat into rocks, terrarium decor and the muscles of your reptile pets
Ideal 24-hour heat source for all types of reptiles, and amphibians. The Infrared Heat Projector produces very little visible light provided so as not to disturb your animals sleep patterns.
The Carbon fiber filament will last longer than most other heat bulbs while emitting deep muscle warming heat 24/7. Saving you money over time, while providing the proper needs of you your reptile pets.
Unlike traditional basking heat bulbs and ceramic heat emitters, Infrared Heat Projectors, by their nature cause objects like rocks and terrarium decor to warm and generate heat without directly warming the air. This is ideal when you want to create a warm basking area without drastically increasing the ambient air temperature inside the enclosure. Giving you much better control of hot and cool sides of a terrarium and provide your reptiles with superior temperature gradient in their enclosures.
Pro Tips
We recommend that you use a thermostat or rheostat with a probe (placed in an appropriate location) to control the basking temperature for all heat emitting source, including heat bulbs, ceramic heat emitters, heat projectors, heat mats, heat tape, ETC. We also recommend you invest in a digital temperature device. An Infrared Thermometer Gun works incredibly well to spot check your terrarium temperatures.
Infrared Heat Projectors do not emit UVB light, and should be combined with the appropriate UVB bulb for you reptile pets needs.

The 35-100w bulbs will fit most light fixures or dome designed for heat projection, and the 150w may require a Deep Dome light fixture. Please ensure it has a cermic base – do not use plastic bases!!
Please research your pets specific heating needs, and provide the most appropriate solution.
Warning
The bulbs get extremely hot. Keep away from pets, children and anything that may melt or burn. Do not set hot lamp and fixture on the floor, furniture or counters until cool and safe to do so. Please allow the bulb and fixture to cool completely before handling or moving it.
