Description
Zoo Med Nocturnal Infrared Heat Lamp
True red glass, not painted or coated (Except the 250 w, which is lacquered)! This is important as the infrared light spectrum is allowed to properly transmit through the class (unlike painted bulbs)
Zoo Med’s spot reflector focuses more heat into your enclosure and minimizes night time glare. This will allow you to direct the light to your reptiles favorite basking spot.
Can be placed above a metal terrarium screen or inside the terrarium – please use a wire mesh to protect the animals from direct contact with the bulb. The Heat lamp is most effective when pointed toward the object you wish to warm up, such as a rock or other terrarium decor.
Ideal 24-hour heat source for all types of reptiles, amphibians, birds such as chickens, and other small animals. Very little visible light provided so as not to disturb your animals sleep patterns. Excellent for nocturnal viewing of all types of animals.
Pro Tips
We recommend that you use a thermostat or rheostat with a probe (placed in an appropriate location) to control the basking temperature for all heat emitting source, including heat bulbs, ceramic heat emitters, heat projectors, heat mats, heat tape, ETC. We also recommend you invest in a digital temperature device. An Infrared Thermometer Gun works incredibly well to spot check your terrarium temperatures.
These basking bulbs do not emit UVB light, and should be combined with the appropriate UVB bulb for you reptile pets needs.

Please research your pets specific heating needs, and provide the most appropriate solution.

The bulbs get extremely hot. Keep away from pets, children and anything that may melt or burn. Do not set hot lamp and fixture on the floor, furniture or counters until cool and safe to do so. Please allow the bulb and fixture to cool completely before handling or moving it.
