- Fill the biodegradable tea bag with the desired amount of Catappa leaf powder and other botanicals.
- Pull the drawstring tight to seal the bag.
- Place the bag directly into your aquarium, terrarium water feature, or steep it separately in dechlorinated water to create a blackwater extract bringing to a boil, then reducing to a simmer for 30-60 minutes. Turn off the heat, allow the leaves to steep in the water while it cools.
- Allow the bag to steep for 12–24 hours for maximum tannin release.
- Lightly squeeze then remove the bag and enjoy the benefits of a natural, tannin-rich environment.
