You can use Repashy Morning Wood to feed isopods either dry, straight from the container or mix it with water to create a gel to feed isopods.
Feeding Morning Wood to Isopods is a great way to add missing vitamins and minerals into their diet. A healthier isopod diet, will mean more baby isopods in your cultures and terrariums!
How to make Repashy Morning Wood into a gel.
Mix 1-part dry media to 2-3 parts water depending on how firm you like the final mixture. To adjust firmness of the final gel, use more or less water as desired.
Example of how to prepare one cup of final product
Mix 1/4 cup of powder into 3/4 cup of cold water and stir until blended.
Microwave the mixture until it starts to boil (typically 2-3 minutes), remove and stir. – Take care around boiling hot mixture.
Alternatively,
Bring water to a boil on stove or microwave, remove from heat, and stir in powder.
Immediately pour into a storage container or mold, and let sit at room temp until firm.
The finished gel can be cut into cubes, shredded, or used as a whole slab. Whatever is not used immediately should be treated as fresh food, and stored accordingly.
It can be stored sealed in refrigerator for up to two weeks, and in freezer for up to six months.
