Rana-Vit is an ultra fine multi vitamin designed for amphibians and reptiles.
The nutritional needs of amphibians are closely related with their husbandry needs as well as their various stages of development and other unforeseen stress. Common examples of stress are overcrowding, transporting, and improperly maintained habitats.
The proper multi vitamin supplementation is crucial to the long term health of our pets. Rana Vit is a complete multi vitamin formulated to meet these requirements, packed with super ingredients to maintain a healthy balance.
A super fine calcium carbonate is a critical ingredient that is added to aid in the prevention of Metabolic Bone Disease. MBD is something commonly see within domestic bred animals. Calcium is essential at all life stages of our pets lives, especially for young animals. Vitamin A in the form of Retinol is an essential micronutrient to help prevent “short tongue syndrome” (STS) and maintain healthy eyesight among many other benefits. The added Vitamin D3 aids in the absorption of calcium into the blood stream. Other key natural ingredients such as bee pollen in Rana Vit are added as immune system builders, stress relievers and antioxidants.
How to use Rana-Vit
We recommend Rana-Vit be used in every feeding or as part of a supplement rotation. Amphibian and reptile keepers may dust or even gut load feeder insects. For herbivore reptiles it is recommended to sprinkle some dust over their greens and seeds. Our favorite method for live prey insects such as fruit flies or crickets, is to dust the insects before feeding them to our animals.
We use a “shake and bake” method by placing a small amount of Rana-Vit into a deli cup, then adding some flies or crickets. We shake and swirl the container until the flies are fully coated, then feed them to our frogs and reptiles. Avoid dumping excess dust onto plants or into the enclosure. Any remaining dust should not be put back into the original container as this may contaminate it.

Once opened, this product is good for approximately 6 months. You can extend its life by keeping it refrigerated between use.
