Cal-Bee+D3 by Ranarium, is an ultra fine, calcium-based supplement with Bee Pollen plus vitamin D3 that provides essential nutrients to promote proper bone health in reptiles.
Vitamin D3 is vital for growth, maintenance of strong bones and prevention of bone deformities, muscle function, and metabolism. Vitamin D3 helps the intestines absorb calcium from food. Without proper intake of Calcium and Vitamin D3 an animal may suffer muscle twitches, lethargy, and metabolic bone disease (MDB). Low calcium levels can lead to serious problems for amphibians and reptiles, causing poorly developed or soft bones that are prone to fractures and breaks. Cal-Bee+D3 has a substantial amount of Bee Pollen added to make the product tastier creating a super food packed with minerals and amino acids to maintain a robust immune system.

How to use Cal-Bee+D3
Cal-Bee+D3 should be used as a complement to an already existing vitamin regimen. Amphibian and reptile owners may dust or gut load feeder insects, or include small amounts in fruit fly media. For herbivore reptiles, it is recommended to dust over greens and seeds. Our favorite method for live prey insects such as fruit flies or crickets, is to dust the insects before feeding them to our animals.
We use a “shake and bake” method by placing a small amount of Cal-Bee+D3 into a deli cup, then adding some flies. We shake and swirl the container until the flies are fully coated, then feed them to our frogs and reptiles. Avoid dumping excess dust onto plants or into the enclosure. Any remaining dust should not be put back into the original container as this may contaminate it.
Once opened, this product is good for approximately 6 months. You can extend its life by keeping it refrigerated between use.
