These Ultra Clear Compostable Deli Cups and Lids are the ideal Eco-Friendly alternative to traditional petroleum-based plastic deli cups. Made from Ingeo™ PLA (polylactic acid) extracted from plants like corn, cassava, sugar cane or even beets and processed into a biopolymer (bioplastic) that looks, acts, and performs just like traditional plastics. They are a food grade material and safe to use for many applications. These Ultra Clear Compostable Deli Cups are compostable in industrial compost facilities only, as they require heat to break down. They will NOT break down in a traditional backyard composter. Please check your local facility before tossing in your green bin. Heat will break down these deli cups, so please don’t use for hot foods or liquids. They can be recycled as a class 7 plastic, please check your local recycling facility before tossing in your blue bin.
