The Monkey Pod is the top portion of a Monkey Pot.
The are an excellent way to enhance the look of any naturalistic Terrarium or Vivarium! Monkey Pods can be used as food dishes for reptiles, a natural hide for arachnids or a tadpole deposit sight for Dart Frogs!
These neat seed pods originate from the Lecythis elliptica, a large nut producing tree found in the Chocó and Amazon rainforests of South America. This species is closely related to the tree that produces the Ourico Pods.
The Monkey Pod averages 7-11cm (3-4″) in diameter. However, due to the nature of this product there will be natural variation in size and color of each pot. Check our 5″ Monkey Pots if your looking for something a bit deeper
