Brachy Pods are an excellent way to enhance the look of any naturalistic Terrarium, Vivarium or Aquarium!
This unique seed pod comes from the Kurrajong, or “Bottle Tree”, (Brachychiton populneus) found in the scrub lands of Australia. Which is why its called a Brachy Pod. Sprinkling these little”taco” looking pods on your substrate will surely make an excellent addition when creating an interesting naturalistic terrarium or aquarium. Brachy Pods are desired by fish and shrimp keepers alike. Not only do they give a unique look to an aquarium they have a hollow interior cavity that is just large enough for small fishes or shrimp to hang out in!
It is good practice to add the pods to boiling water prior to introducing them into your terrarium or aquarium as this will remove any excess natural debris.
Each pod and stem is approximately 6-8 cm or 2-3″ long. Due to the nature of this product there will be natural variation in size and color of each pod.
