Please note that the 2.4% Shade Dweller Max fixture MUST be used only with the 2.4% lamp they are rated for 14 watts, and not compatible with the others.
The 6,12,14% UVB lamps are interchangeable between the same fixtures are they are all rated for 24 watts.
*UVB lights should be replaced annually. Even though light is being emitted, it is no longer a suitable strength for your animals needs
*Please note that UVB LIGHT DOES NOT travel through glass.
*You must do extensive research on your specific animals needs and UVB requirements as to little or to much can cause irreversible harm to the animals.
ProTip
Even though the Arcadia Pro T5 UVB lights will emit light for years, it does degrade, and will be no longer a suitable strength of UVB for your animals needs, and must be replaced every 12-18 months.
Set an annual reminder on your phone to replace the bulb 1 year from when you install the light. We also personally like to mark the date of install on the metal part of the light with a permanent marker, as we have many lights that need to be changed at different times of the years.
