Each 50gm bag contains enough excelsior to make approximately 12 new fruit fly cultures. Simply tear off a small handful of excelsior and roll or fold it into a loose fluffy ball. Then place it into your newly made fruit fly culture and cover immediately to prevent native “flying flies” from entering the culture and breeding. Add flightless fruit flies to your new culture once it has cooled to an acceptable temperature.
